Altea

Altea, situated on a large bay, between Benidorm and Calpe, is one of the most beautiful towns in the Costa Blanca North, away from mass tourism. The old town with white townhouses and the narrow cobbled streets close to the pebble beach makes it different from the surrounding towns. Its unique beauty and light attract International artists who decided to move to Altea. In fact, in the old town, you will find several art galleries and small studios, as well many as crafts shops. In fact, in summer you can enjoy the craft show (Mostra d’artesania d’Altea) located in the church square. Come to the old town late in the afternoon to enjoy the breath-taking views to Altea bay and enjoy the best nightlife in its bars and restaurants.

Around the city centre, there are different quiet rural areas to live in, such us l’horta, el Planet, Cap Blanch, la Pila or Els Arcs. Going north on the N-332, we find the areas of Cap Negret and l’Olla, where we can find lovely front line apartments and villas. Around the charming village of Altea la Vella, which is located 5 km north of Altea, at the foot of the Sierra Bernia, we also find several urbanizations such as Sierra de Altea Golf, Altea Hills, La Galera, Alhama Spring, Monterrico or Santa Clara. These urbanizations, close to the shops and restaurants of Altea la Vella, offer calmness and a good quality of life. In most of these residential areas you can find magnificent villas with sea views and all of them are very close to the Don Cayo Golf Course.

Altea also hosts a large number of festivities and celebrations, especially during the summertime. Some are of worldwide cultural interest while others are more local. The most popular are Sant Antoni in Cap Blanch, Sant Joan in the old town or Sant Llorenç in l’Olla, with the famous fireworks at midnight from the beach. Finally, Moors and Christians festivity takes place the last weekend of September.

L'Alfàs del Pi - Albir


L’Alfàs del Pi, known for its Cinema Festival and large number of International residents. It is a quiet town located between Altea and Benidorm. There are several residential areas such as, La Foya Blanca, Los Jardines de Alfaz, El Arabí, Colonia Escandinavia, El Captivador, San Rafael or El Romeral. In any of these areas, you will have the perfect location to enjoy Sunny Spanish life.

The most famous area of Alfaz is the coastal area of el Albir, which is located at the south of the Altea bay. Many pensionists, from all over Europe, also enjoy the nice atmosphere during the warm winter months. As a result, there are several shops, restaurants and other amenities are opened the whole year, which contributes to the dynamic ambiance of the area.

Albir is known as a tidy little town, with an Azure blue sea, lovely pebble beach with a long promenade that leads all the way to Altea. This promenade is called “El Paseo de las Estrellas” and it is the local interpretation of the Hollywood “Walk of Fame”.

Going up from the promenade to the Serra Gelada- the mountain of Albir with a highest peak of 435m-, we can find a residential area with lovely villas and townhouses that look out onto the Altea bay. Next to this residential area, we find the “Serra Gelada Nature Reserve”. This reserve offers you several walking routes along the reserve. The most famous route is the Lighthouse route which goes along an asphalted road from the entrance of the reserve to the lighthouse.
